This week, we're going on a... culinary journey. Destination: Greece!
This is the second part of our nine-episode series.
Why nine episodes?
Quite simply because the BASTIDE DU LAVAL mill offers you nine different olive oils (4 green fruity, 1 ripe fruity, 1 black fruity, 3 scented).
We have chosen a very simple recipe that will delight your guests: Tzatziki
Ingredients (for 6 people):
Preparation 10min
- 2 ORGANIC cucumbers
- 2 Greek yogurts (i.e. 400g of yogurt)
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Green fruity olive oil
- 1 C. tablespoon of chopped mint leaves
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 spoon of wine vinegar
Recipe :
1. Wash your cucumbers without peeling them
2. Grate them
3. Put them in a colander and lightly salt. Let it drain then press with your hands to squeeze them out as much as possible.
4. Meanwhile, peel the garlic cloves. Wash and dry the mint
5. In a salad bowl, put the drained cucumber, the yogurts, the mint cut with scissors, the pressed garlic, add a tablespoon of olive oil and season with pepper and a little wine vinegar
6. Mix and set aside in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Decorate with a few mint leaves and drizzle with olive oil as desired.
THE LITTLE EXTRA: delicious as an aperitif with some pitas warmed in the toaster, cut into triangles. Also excellent to accompany your grilled meats (pork loins, lamb chops, etc.)
